Yuan Zhi, deputy general manager of Huanghelou Technology Park (Group), said the company will leverage Wuhan’s manufacturing strengths to work with industry partners in building a green and intelligent packaging ecosystem, promoting progress in carbon reduction, environmental protection and sustainable growth.
Sinotecho, a provider of integrated smart factory solutions, was actively involved in the conference through keynote speeches, on-site demonstrations and event sponsorship.
The company contributed to discussions on standardization, technological innovation and practical applications, reflecting its ongoing efforts in the field of intelligent manufacturing.
Citing China’s digital transformation plan for the machinery industry, Hu noted that by 2027 more than 50 percent of enterprises are expected to reach a defined level of smart manufacturing maturity, with over 200 advanced smart factories to be established.
He said the industry is at a critical stage of digital transformation, as increasing product complexity and demand for customization continue to challenge traditional production lines. At the same time, relevant policies of China are accelerating the need for upgrades across production processes and materials.
Sinotecho integrates 3D vision systems with proprietary AI algorithms to enable automated inspection, real-time optimization and coordinated production.
According to the company, its inspection systems can replace manual quality checks with micron-level precision, while integrated digital production lines improve overall efficiency by more than 15 percent.
AI-driven optimization allows flexible production for multiple product types and small batches, helping reduce changeover time and improve efficiency. Automated material handling systems, including robotics and AGVs, further enhance production flow and reduce labor dependence.
The company said its smart logistics and warehousing systems can improve operational efficiency by more than 30 percent, while its AI-based management platform helps increase overall equipment effectiveness by around 25 percent.
Hu said the shift toward intelligent manufacturing is not simply a combination of technologies, but a fundamental restructuring of production models.
He noted that Sinotecho is developing integrated smart factory solutions that combine its AI cloud platform, intelligent logistics and advanced equipment, aimed at improving efficiency, enabling flexible production and reducing labor dependence in the tobacco packaging sector.
The company said its approach helps manufacturers address operational bottlenecks and deploy scalable and adaptable smart factory systems.
During a site visit to a local packaging industrial park, attendees observed Sinotecho’s automated systems for material handling and logistics. The solutions, based on in-house motion control and vision technologies, enable unmanned operations in key production stages.
The company said it follows a framework of top-level design, phased implementation and closed-loop delivery, providing integrated solutions across industries including tobacco, consumer goods, electronics, semiconductors and new energy.
